Sealants

A sealant is a resin material coating that can be applied to the pit and fissures of the chewing surfaces of the teeth, which are cavity prone areas. The sealant acts as a barrier protecting the enamel from bacterial plaque.

A thorough exam is necessary to determine if the patient is a good candidate. Sealants are most commonly applied to children and teenagers. No drilling or freezing required. It is a very effective preventive measure and it cost a lot less than a filling! More in this video.

Prevention is the key!

Mouthguard

Proform mouthguards are custom fitted mouthguards created from an impression of the patients’ teeth and gums.
